The WW4ENVIRONMENT aimed to:
- Implement a tool to optimize the management of wastewater treatment plant following the objectives set by the EU in terms of energy efficiency and environmental impact
- Develop a methodology to investigate the ecotoxicity of WWTP
- Determine a procedure to assess the carbon footprint of the WWTP
- Determine and reduce the environmental costs of the wastewater treatment process
