LARSyS announces Seminar series to foster collaboration

The Laboratory of Robotics and Engineering Systems (LARSyS), which MARETEC integrates, launched a Seminar series to foster cooperation between the four constituent research units of MARETEC. The seminars will invite LARSyS researchers to present a research project to the LARSyS community. Additionally, time will be dedicated to preparing and submitting research projects. The collaboration with the Pre-Award network of IST-ID will help the community learn the best practices to apply to upcoming calls successfully.

The first edition is scheduled for May 24 at 3 pm at Room 01.1 of the Centro de Congressos of Instituto Superior Técnico. During the seminar, the researcher Hugo Nicolau (Interactive Technologies Institute), will present the project DCitizens he is coordinating. DCitizens is a Twinning project that aims to foster research in Digital Civics in Lisbon, empowering citizens and non-state actors to co-create, actively shape agendas, make decisions about service provision, and make such provisions sustainable and resilient. After that, Marta Candeias (IST Pre-Award Network) will share relevant knowledge about an application for calls of EU twinning research projects.

The seminar programme is:

15:00 - DCitizens presentation (Hugo Nicolau);

15:20 - Funding opportunities (Marta Candeias, IST-ID Pre-Award network);
15:40 - Coffee Break;
15:55 - Discussion (moderated by Diana Neves).
